Parade of Homes
Bomanite Licensed Contractor , Colorado Hardscapes, located in Denver,
Colorado, was contacted by Home Builder, Dorian Homes to provide
the hardscapes for the "Villa Bellagio" a new housing
development. Colorado Hardscapes became the star of the show
at the Denver area 2002 Parade of Homes with this worldwide
award winning Bomanite project.
 Custom
colors were developed to complement the rest of the color
scheme during this project. Four raised decks off of the main
living area, master suite, a bedroom and a bathroom, all have
the same Bomanite Sandstone texture and "tiles"
as the pool deck. Diamonds at scoring intersections were Micro-Topped
for the effect of tile insets. Bullnose planter wall caps,
pool copings and stepwork were installed with the same sandstone
texture matte finish on entries, patios, pool deck and the
border on the driveway.
The field of the driveway is Bomanite integrally colored
concrete with an acid etched finish. Bands of the driveway
were textured to match the entrance and pool deck. Diagonal
sawcut scoring created the patterning throughout the project.
The garage floor was Micro-Topped with coordinated colors
to create a display area during the Parade of Homes and an
attractive floor finish for the future residents.
Close coordination with the builder, the swimming pool contractor,
and other contractors were required to bring together all
the elements for a successful project.
